Capturing Love in Big Sur: A California Wedding Photographer's Tale

Hello there! I am your California wedding photographer who recently had the joy of capturing a beautiful elopement as a second shooter in Big Sur, California. This wasn't my first rodeo, having shot numerous weddings previously; but this destination wedding was a delightful second act in a place that's really close to my heart. If you've ever visited Big Sur, you'd know why I call it a photographer's paradise. The rugged coastline, the mighty Pacific Ocean, and the golden sunset created a backdrop that was nothing short of breathtaking.

 

The couple had chosen to elope in this stunning location, away from the hustle and bustle of traditional wedding celebrations. I was entrusted with the responsibility of immortalizing their special moments, and I was thrilled to do so. After all, there's something uniquely romantic about a couple choosing to exchange their vows in the presence of nature, with the setting sun as their only witness.

 

My day began with a quick catch-up with the couple, discussing their preferences and ideas for the shoot. Even though I was the guide here, I always make sure to listen to my clients' dreams and then strive to turn them into a reality.
