Every so often, I get to be part of something truly magical. This time, it was a helicopter wedding in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta. As a Canmore wedding photographer based in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, I've captured love stories against some truly breathtaking backdrops. But even by my standards, this wedding was something special! I was lucky enough to be a second shooter on this day.

 

As we lifted off, the excitement was palpable. The bride, resplendent in her wedding gown, and the groom, looking polished in his suit, clung to each other as we soared over the valleys and the pristine alpine lakes. As a former director for a helicopter company, I felt right at home in the air, my camera at the ready to capture every moment.

 

We landed on a remote mountain peak where the ceremony would take place. The skies were a brilliant blue, and the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks were nothing short of awe-inspiring. The couple exchanged their vows in this stunning setting, their words echoing off the mountains.
