Revelstoke Wedding Photographer: Majestic Mountain Waterfall Weddings by Jenna Grey

May 13th, 2024

I am a seasoned Revelstoke wedding photographer and while every wedding is a new adventure, this wedding of Kaelin and Sean beside Revelstoke Mountain Resort, atop the Canadian Rocky mountains, was truly something rare and beautiful. This wedding was a testament to their love, not just for each other, but also for the great outdoors. The lodge, with its panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, was the perfect backdrop to their special day. The day was filled with laughter, joy, and an air of excitement that was almost tangible.

The ceremony took place outside of their lodge, with the majestic mountains standing as silent witnesses to their vows. The crisp mountain air, the bright sunshine, and the breathtaking scenery created an atmosphere of pure magic. As I captured these special moments, I felt privileged to be a part of their day. We ended our wedding photography time together by hiking into the majestic, Begbie Waterfall.

The real highlight, however, came during the golden hour. The sun was slowly setting, casting a golden glow over the landscape. The couple, bathed in this ethereal light, looked like they had stepped out of a fairy tale. The resulting photographs were nothing short of magical. As someone who spends a lot of time coordinating and capturing moments in the mountains, this golden hour photo shoot was truly a visual feast.

I coordinate specific locations to shoot for my wedding clients to capture the most stunning Revelstoke mountain wedding photos, and the waterfall ended up being so incredible for their wedding pictures. We also shot around Sutherland Falls, in again located in British Columbia.

After the photo shoot, the couple and their guests moved inside the lodge for the reception at their private Revelstoke estate home. The cozy and warm interior of the ski lodge residence provided a sharp contrast to the rugged beauty outside. The laughter and joy that filled the room were infectious, creating a sense of camaraderie and love.

As the night drew to a close, I couldn't help but reflect on the day. Kaelin and Sean's wedding was not just a celebration of their love, but also a celebration of their shared love for nature and adventure. And as a Revelstoke and Banff wedding and elopement photographer, I was glad to have been a part of it, capturing their special moments in the beautiful mountainside setting. I can only hope that the pictures will serve as a beautiful reminder of their special day for years to come.
